About Leslie Carroll Designs in Travel

Leslie Kramer and Carol Gerst have been travel colleagues and close friends since the 1980’s, when they each owned their own travel agencies. In the intervening 30 years, their passion for travel has brought them to destinations as far-flung as Bali, Bhutan, Egypt, Estonia, India, Kenya, and Zimbabwe and dozens of other locales – from cosmopolitan hubs to remote outposts. They have organized and led groups throughout the world, and have also organized and hosted groups visiting the United States. In 2007, they merged their agencies (and their names) to create Leslie Carroll Designs in Travel. While they have orchestrated group tours for many types of travelers (students, adventure-seekers, museum executives , and VIPs), their favorite clients are for those who appreciate travel as much as they do. In addition to creating one-of-a-kind travel experiences, Leslie and Carol work together designing one-of-a-kind jewelry. Their acclaimed Leslie Carroll Designs line is carried by boutiques in the U.S.

More about the Owners

Leslie is a lifelong resident of Philadelphia, and currently resides in Center City. She is a member of the Cosmopolitan Club of Philadelphia, a social club for professional women in the Philadelphia area, She is also a member of the Traveler’s Century Club which mandates travel to a minimum of 100 approved countries or territories. Their goal is to educate and share travel experiences.

Carol lives in Chester County, Pennsylvania, and has been involved in the Philadelphia Museum of Art for over 35 years as a museum guide, the co-chair of the Friends of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and currently serves as the chair of the Graduate Guides.

Leslie and Carol have been proud members of WITIA since 2007. They have used the WITIA network on numerous occasions to find just the right contact for their world traveling clients. They participated in past Educational to Kenya, Beijing and Viterbo.
